GUEST OF HONOR: SOUTH FRANCE
The 16th edition of Tocatì , the International Festival of Street Games , organized by the Ancient Games Association under the patronage of the Municipality of Verona , the Veneto Region and the Province of Verona, will be held in Verona from 13 to 16 September 2018; confirmed for this sixteenth edition of the UNESCO ICH advocacy and strengthened collaboration with AEJeST, MIBAC and ICDE - Central Institute for Demoetnoantropologia.
Guest of this edition La France du Midi - Southern France represented by game groups from Occitania , Provence - Alps - French Riviera , New Aquitaine with the Basque Country : protagonists are the traditional game communities of rural origin of the Basque Country as ad example Le Bûcheron , Le lever d'enclume , Le ramassage des épis de mais and other southern French games including Tambourin , some modes of Quilles , Pétanque .
Why UNESCO?
